I was armed with my D600 and wide angle along with the Panasonic G85 carrying a zoom. I gotta say, it was a SURREAL experience.

I wanted to make sure the when I took the picture of my feet hanging out of the copter that people KNEW it was MY feet. As far as Raphaelle...well she had to go bare foot.

I really like this photo. It is where I spend the majority of my day (Work right next to Battery Park). Also got the amazing Statan Island Ferry in there too!

This super tall condo (432 Park Ave) is probably what I will remember most about NYC. We moved here just as this was being built and we got to see its progression being built from across the river in Hunters Point. From our view it is the tallest building in the city.

Now we are looking at 432 Park from the other side. This is a classic shot of NYC where you "compress" the landscape to make it seem like everything is on top of each other. We can see all of midtown through downtown.

Love this one too as it shows our neighborhood front and center! Hunters Point. It also captures all the bridges that connect Long Island to Manhattan: From Close to Far- Queenboro Bridge, Williamsburg Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. Not to mention the 14 underwater tunnels that are located in this picture (All MTA Operated).

]]><![CDATA[Iphonex. Depth Mapping]]>Tue, 07 Nov 2017 19:54:55 GMThttp://www.adamflath.com/photoblog/iphonex-depth-mappingAfter 9 years of Android; I started with the first android which was the T-Mobile G1. I decided to try out the IPhone.

The primarily reason was due to the dual camera and depth projector. What this allows one to do is post edit the amount of Bokeh(blur) in the picture. In short, it is magic. Below you will see a selfie along with what that picture looks like when calculating the depth levels of the image. You utilize that depth map and determine exactly where you want your Bokeh to start and end. I love it!

Brought my Nikon binoculars and tripod with solar filter and setup shop in battery park. I probably had at least 10 people view the eclipse through my setup, everyone was very thankful for me sharing :)

The close up photo was taken by placing my phone cera in the eye piece if the binoculars... it turned out really well!!

Taken back in July 2015 when we first moved to NYC, I was able to recover it thanks to Google Photos!

1624: The Dutch West India Company first arrived to New Amsterdam and opted to set up camp on the small, 70-acre Island rather than brave the wilderness that lay across the water on the island that would later be known as Manhattan.

Fast forward 393 years and we can see things have certainly changed.

I thought taking pictures of kids was hard; trying to get a good shot with a puppy was a whole new ball game. The trick was basically just hold down the shutter button and take 40 shots at a time. It worked!
